Ever since I was old enough to hold a gun I have enjoyed
hunting. I can remember watching my dad train his golden
retriever Barney in the field
next to our house and I knew
that this was for me.
A few years after high school I
decided to pursue my dream
training dogs. This journey
started with Triple Crown,
a school for dog trainers. After graduation I quickly found my
way to Montana. It was there I worked for one of the field
trial great, Don Remien. After spending three years starting
field trial dogs and training hunting dogs out of the Rising Sun
Retriever Kennel with Don, I find myself back in my home state
of Texas. The experience with Don in Montana, training field
trial dogs, was an experience that a person couldn't get
anywhere else. It is here that I have decided that my true
passion is training hunting retrievers, with people who are not
too different from myself., who have the same interests as I
do, hunting.
